New book about “Our Church”

Bishop Emeritus, Denis Croteau, OMI, has completed and published his book, recounting his time in the Diocese of Mackenzie – Fort Smith from the time as a young priest until the present day.

Copies of the book will arrive in Hay River on August 7, 2020. The book retails for $40.00, but, if bought in Hay River at Assumption Parish, the cost is $35.00 since there are no postage fees. Thanks to Sister Diane from Yellowknife for bringing a box of books!

“From book writer and publisher I have metamorphosed into a book-seller.
I would like the people of Hay River to be made aware that ‘Saga of a Missionary Bishop’ is now on the market for sale and can be obtained from Yellowknife. The book was written first of all for the Catholics of the diocese so as to develop an interest in the life of the Church of the Mackenzie Diocese as it took place in the years of my episcopacy and also to encourage them to consider that the Church that was born then is ‘their’ Church. In other words that when they speak of the Church of the North they should say “Our Church’.”
