Announcements,
Mass
In accordance with the latest orders from the NWT Public Health Officer, and in keeping with the guidelines set out in the Emerging Wisely plan, Sunday Masses will resume in a limited capacity starting May 24, 2020.
At this time, only Sunday Mass will be held; Saturday Masses are still cancelled for the time being.
Here are the details for our new Mass time/format and instructions on making “reservations” for attending in person:
- Mass will be held outdoors, in the Catholic Church parking lot
- A maximum of 25 people can attend each service
- To attend Mass people must have no symptoms of COVID-19, observe physical distancing, and follow proper hygiene practices
- Communion will be available to those individuals attending in person who wish to receive the sacrament
- People must sign up in advance in order to attend (no walk-ins)
- To sign up to attend Mass, please contact Sheila at 875-2678 with the number of people in your household who will attend
- To give as many people as possible a chance to attend, we will make a list of names of all those who wish to attend an upcoming Mass. The first 25 who sign up will attend the May 24 Mass; the next 25 will attend the May 31 Mass; and so forth.
- Masses will continue to be streamed live on Facebook every Sunday at 10:30am. The live stream will be done at the same time as live Mass, not at a separate time.
Please note that the Diocese of Mackenzie-Fort Smith will continue to live stream daily Mass at 08:00am on Facebook.
Let us rejoice! Please pass on the good news that we can worship together as a faith community, even if in this limited fashion.
