Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent

This year, Ash Wednesday is on March 5. This is the start of Lent, when we prepare ourselves, through repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration, for Easter and the promise of salvation through Christ’s sacrifice.

We will celebrate Ash Wednesday on March 5 at 1900h.

Every Friday during the Lenten season, there will be Stations of the Cross starting at 1800h following weekday Mass.

There will also be Lenten lunches held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church every Thursday at 1200h. This year’s theme is: Journey to the Cross – Lenten Reflections on Following Jesus.

Let us begin this Lenten journey together with the visible sign of the Cross and the reminder of our need for God’s grace.
